Key Responsibilities:

·         Performs mechanical calibration to the in house equipment recall list

·         Maintains internal calibration database and distributes recall lists

·         Ensures equipment is available for external calibration and co-ordinates outsourcing of calibration

·         Reviews external calibration results before re-issue of equipment to production

·         Identifies and uses suitable national calibration procedures/standards

·         Liaises with quality engineering in the identification and implementation of corrective actions as a result of non-conformity or preventive activity

·         Dimensional inspection and compilation of FAI reports to Customer/Aerospace standards

·         Initiation and close out of NCR’s/Audit Reports

·         Continually seeks to drive improvements in product and process quality.

·         Assists in achieving VM UK quality objectives and key business metrics.

Provides training/guidance to other areas of the business of calibration requirements

·         Minimum of 5 yrs experience in a mechanical calibration environment

·         Proficient computer skills and experience of MS Office applications

·         Use of Co-ordinate Measuring Machines.

·         Reading Engineering Drawings

·         Geometric dimensional knowledge

·         Inspection techniques

·         Use of mechanical inspection and test measuring equipment required to perform function;

o        CMM, micrometer, floating carriage vernier, calliper, height gauges etc

·         Desktop PC (Office applications – Access, Excel, Word)
